I am ecstatic to announce that most of the month of June, I will be in Europe!
I am landing in Rome and departing from France. The schedule is not set in stone yet, but we are planning on visiting Rome, Florence, Venice, Geneva, Beaune and Paris.
I have slowly been making my way through Rick Steve’s travel books. I found his books very helpful when I travelled through Spain & Portugal, so I trust his recommendations.
Any suggestions, tips or must see spots you would like to recommend? I am currently doing some research, but, if you have any tips on where to eat delicious vegan food, please pass them my way!
Angelina!!! Fuuuuuuuuuun!! And then, double fun!!!
Right! I can’t wait to go to Paris and say, the light show at The Eiffel Tower…hideous!
Angelina, remember to look for ugly plastic chairs as well!! Eat pastries and smoke a cigarette and scream, “it’s killing me!!!”
You are going to have such a great time! I’m currently planning my next trip (probably for September), 2 weeks in Croatia!
That sounds amazing!
Croatia is amazing!
Right! I can’t wait to hear about that trip.
How exciting! I look forward to reading your ventures! My goal is to magically get to Italy next year, we’ll see how well that one actually pans out. Guide books are great, but don’t be afraid to create your own adventure!
I hope you are able to go to Italy!
Yaaaay! I have been to four of those six cities, so I’m brainstorming now …. For Rome, definitely splurge on a guided tour of the Coliseum. You’ll learn so much more that way! Same for the Vatican; there’s way too much to look at otherwise. Geneva is EXPENSIVE, so I just want to prepare you mentally haha. I am so excited for your trip! Sounds wonderful.
Thanks for the tips! I am really excited about the Vatican.
I have heard the same thing about Geneva, good to know!
I also landed in Rome and instantly fell in love. It is SO beautiful and filled with culture. Someone gave me this advice for Venice and I appreciated it; don’t stay longer than 2 days, and use the time to just wander/get lost. Getting lost in Venice is a MUST. Just walk through the roads, see the canals, and enjoy the beautiful weather. Also, walk AWAY from the center of the city, it will be less chaotic. (away from the main basilica, I forget what it’s called now)
HAVE FUN!!
Good advice! Thank-you. I love getting lost in new places, it gives you a new perspective.
Have you checked out http://www.veggie-hotels.com yet?
No, I had not heard of it. Thanks, I will check it out.
