About

Hi, I’m Angie. I am a tree hugging vegan and life long student of yoga. I live in Sunny Southern California with my history-teaching, always-singing, fellow yogi & vegan husband Philip and my soccer-playing, lego-building, dog-hugging step-son Dylan. I have two naughty, but adorable American Bulldogs. You can read all about Suzie, here and Penny, here.

I am very fortunate to get paid to do what I love. My passion is to empower, support and help others in a variety of ways. I am a high school counselor and get to help teenagers reach their goals. Pretty amazing gig, with the best schedule! I use my time off to travel. I have pretty bad wanderlust and am constantly planning a trip. My feet have already felt the earth of 3 other continents (Europe, Africa and China) and hopefully, more to come.

I love to run, hike, backpack, camp and live yoga. I finished my yoga teacher training in September 2013, and I teach Beginner’s Yoga at Inner Evolution Yoga, which is also where I study and practice. I try to eat as healthy as possible, but have a deep appreciation for vegan junk food. I really try to stick to whole, unprocessed foods and learned so much from Kris Carr’s 21 day adventure cleanse. Kris Carr turned me into a juicing maniac and I have done a few juice cleanses.

I adore reading, fresh juice, list making, spiritual awakenings, roller skating, waking up early, copious amounts of tea drinking, soul connections, The Rocky Horror Picture show,  Biggie and Tupac, empowering, supporting and caring for others. I have a hard time stomaching intolerance or inequality. I will not tolerate any disrespect towards Michael Jackson. Just. Don’t.

Let’s be friends. Comments are my favorite and I appreciate the feedback. You can also email me at angieeatspeace at gmail.

Peace, love & greens,

  2. Hi Angie! I wanted to respond to the comments you left on my blog (Semi-Charmed Kind of Life), but I couldn’t find your email, so I’m replying here. 🙂

Regarding my Top 10 Tuesday post: I didn’t even know Memoirs of a Geisha was a movie! But that’s perfect, because I’m doing a book-to-movie reading challenge this year, so I can count it toward that. 🙂

Regarding my travel shoes post: Spain & Portugal is definitely on my list for this summer!! And a lot of people liked the Sperry’s; I think that’s quickly becoming my #1 choice. Thanks for the input!

      • I was hoping you would be at yoga this week. I’m so clueless, I’m just putting Angie Eats Peace with Angie at yin yoga. I know who you are and am sorry I have not realized until now. Thanks for the recipe ideas today and maybe we can exchange a book soon. I love to read too and am holding out on buying a nook/kindle, I like the smell of a real book. Happy Weekend!
